About

Hello and welcome! My name is Alina and I’m a Canadian artist living in Kitchener, Ontario. I chose the name “Restless Eclectic” to represent my adventurous, energetic nature and my interest in exploring all the things.

I am relentlessly curious; I love to learn and experience new things. Growing up, I was exposed to so many variations of the creative spark. My dad’s side of the family were classical musicians, woodworkers, weavers, knitters, and knotters. My mom’s side of the family were magicians with thread and fabric, passionate cooks, and gardeners. I carry this infusion of wonder and creation in me.

My work is expressive, exploratory, and intuitive. I like to use a variety of tools, mediums, and techniques, and allow things to unfold. I find inspiration everywhere – from my memories as the kid who sat on the sidewalk in front of our house, drawing the world around me for hours on end, to my adult life experiences, and everything in between – you could say my work is a product of the harmony and discord of a curious child, a teenage rebel, and an adult explorer making art together.

Thank you so much for your interest in me and my work. Sharing one’s art with the world is exhilarating and a little terrifying… as many of the best things are 😉 If you have any questions, or just want to say hi, pop over to my contact page or use the links below – I would love to hear from you!
